Data protection and Brexit, changes to workers’ rights and immigration will continue to make headlines as we look forward into the New Year. We will continue to provide insights and updates via our social media pages as new changes are brought in.
We were pleased to have hosted podcasts and Facebook live interactive sessions throughout 2018 covering topics as wide ranging as how to enter new markets, use of technology, fund raising, marketing and more. You can listen to our podcasts by following the link here: https://soundcloud.com/user-956837858 and see our live sessions on our You Tube page: https://bit.ly/2EYb0Lo
We also hosted several events, including a seminar on “How to Successfully Sell a Business”; sponsored Find Your Feet’s annual charity fundraiser, and organised an event focussed on East African trade and policy following Brexit with the Asian Business Association of the London Chamber of Commerce. We were involved with the Federation of Small Businesses in covering data protection and Brexit.
A highlight of 2018 was attending the East African International Arbitration Conference in Ethiopia – connecting with law firms from the African continent and widening our network of international law firms that we work with.
Our retainer packages have proven to be useful support to many of our clients – transparency in pricing and fixed fees are at the forefront of the way we work with businesses. The Solicitors Regulation Authority now require firms to publish their fees in certain areas of practice. You can find these updates on our website – employment and debt recovery.
In 2019 we will be expanding our services in conveyancing matters and helping with international trade mark and patent applications – so watch this space!
